Hi we are planning on living there part time, maybe during the summers. We are planning several trips. I have been once for a month in 2001 before 9/11. I am married to a native from Ecuador. I watch Channel One here on cable and see some terrible crimes being commited. Can anyone who is living there tell me how travel is between Guayaquil airport and the Manabi province? Safety? How is the public bus safety? When we were there before, they were stopping cars with roadblocks in all parts of the country. Thanks.
